2024-2025 Panthers Youth Registration

Online registration for the 2024-2025 season is open. A free shirt is included as part of your registration. Register by Nov. 15 to ensure the size shirt you want.

 

Practices begin Nov. 18. Details are further down on the website.

 

At the beginning of each practice on Nov. 18, there will be a parent/guardian meeting. Please attend one of them at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. It will be outside of the wrestling room. Information will be shared about the season, tournaments, expectations, etc.

 

We welcome wrestlers to join our club at any point of the year. There is no registration deadline.

Practice Schedule for 2024-2025 Season

Practices start Monday, Nov. 18. A parent/guardian meeting will be held at the beginning of each practice on Nov. 18, near the wrestling room.

 

All practices are at the Century High School wrestling room (2525 Viola Rd NE, Rochester, MN). Wearing shorts and a t-shirt are ideal. Arrive 10-15 early to get shoes on and so wrestlers are ready to practice at start time.

 

The following is the practice schedule for the 2024-2025 season. Please note that there are two sessions for Pre K-2nd grade; sign up for one or both.

• Pre K-2^nd grade - Session 1 (11/18/2024-2/2/2025): Mondays & Wednesdays, 6-6:50 p.m. | $60
• Pre K-2^nd grade - Session 2 (2/3/2024-March 2025): Mondays & Wednesdays, 6-6:50 p.m. | $40
• 3^rd-6^th grade (11/18/2024-March 2025): Mondays & Wednesdays, 7-8:15 p.m. | $110

There will also be an optional Thursday practice, 6-7 p.m., focusing on advanced technique and live wrestling. The 3^rd-6^th grade wrestlers are invited to attend this, wrestlers who have 3+ years of experience, and possibly others based on coaches’ discretion.

Tournaments

For those interested in attending tournaments, visit the Guillotine website for open tournaments in the area. A Tournament of the Week will be listed on TeamReach - these are tournaments that coaches are planning to attend.

 

The club will cover registration fees for the below. Mark your calendar!

• Sunday, Jan. 12: Quad Scrimmage at Mayo High School
• Sunday, Jan. 26: Youth Tournament at Century High School

 

Shoes

We have wrestling shoes that have been donated that wrestlers can use during the season. Many of them are barely used and in great condition. See a coach if you are in need of borrowing a pair. Please return them at the end of the season.

 

Cancellation of Practices

We will follow the Rochester Public School system regarding closures and cancellations. If school is cancelled, we will not be holding practice.

The Rochester Panthers Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization that provides a youth wrestling program for youth in preschool through 6th grade within the Century High School boundaries. We also support the Century High School program in a variety of ways. We provide instruction for experienced wrestlers as well as to those new to the sport. In addition to building exceptional wrestling technique, we focus on sportsmanship, developing a cohesive team, and having fun!
